A Letter from Hunter & Laney
Hello! We love time with family, playing with our dog, Oliver, movie marathons, and playing sports together. Adoption was always on our hearts and after doctors told us it would be risky to have a biological child, we felt it was a clear sign from God that our path was for adoption all along. We have so much peace and excitement about growing our family this way! Our lives are set up so that Laney will be a stay-at-home mom and for us to have plenty of time for our future child. We’re ready to welcome our first baby and would love the chance to get to know you too.
Our Story
We met at the district freshmen center, even though we didn’t attend the same high school. Our friendship started in bio-med class and by that summer we started dating. We’ve stayed together through college and are excited to see where our story leads next as first-time parents!
As a couple we enjoy:
• Basketball, football, or pickleball with friends
• Attending church
• Marvel movie marathons under a blanket-fort on the couch
• Playing with and training our dog
About Laney
I used to work at a preschool and got my degree in Early Childhood Education. Now I’m a happy homemaker who is excited to become a stay-at-home mom.
According to Hunter: Laney is loving and caring to everyone. She’s compassionate and does what she can to help others. I love Laney’s outgoing personality! She’s always up for getting out of the house to walk our dog or do something outside. Laney will be the kind of mom who is always there for our children, willing to set our children up with everything they need to succeed with whatever they decide to do.
Laney likes:
• Reading fiction novels
• Any kind of board or card games
• Training our dog
About Hunter
I am a Concrete Estimator for commercial builders at my dad’s company. My dream is to inherit the family business and become the owner one day.
According to Laney: Hunter is patient, compassionate, and loving. There is no one else like him! Hunter makes everyone around him want to be their best selves. I know he will be a sensitive, involved, and caring father. He’ll be the kind of dad who will dress up for tea parties or hop into a pretend sword fight with our kids. I’m excited to raise a family with this man!
Hunter likes:
• Writing reviews for a new TV show or movie
• Going for a run or playing sports
• Juggling
• Marvel Universe collectibles
Our Home in Missouri
We love our 4-bedroom house and look forward to raising a family here! Our home is a side-split style, with a finished basement and large fenced-in backyard with plenty of space for our dog and future children to run and play. We’ve started setting up a nursery with baby furniture and we’re excited to decorate when we know more about the child we will adopt.
What we love about where we live:
• Living one block from our parents (future grandparents!)
• Close to trails and parks
• Great restaurants, stores, and schools nearby
• Family-friendly and safe neighborhood
Our Family
We both come from large, involved, outgoing families—we believe the larger the family, the more love there is to give! Our families are our biggest support network. Most of our family lives nearby, though we have cousins in Florida who we like to visit once or twice a year. We have 7 nephews and nieces between us, so there will be plenty of cousins to play with. Adoption is already a part of Hunter’s extended family and everyone, on both sides, is excited to welcome the child we adopt.
Traditions we’d love to share with our child:
• BIG family holidays
• Game nights
• Family football games
Our Heartfelt Promise
It means so much to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. You would always hold a special place in our hearts and we promise to do everything we can for this child. We want you to know you are loved and we will honor an open adoption, if you’d like to have a relationship with us.
We promise to:
• Speak highly of you and be honest with your child about how we came together, praying for you, as a family, from day one.
• Share updates and ongoing contact with you, at your comfort level.
• Provide opportunities to learn and know the value of education.
• Honor our commitment to you and your child, with our whole hearts.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions! To contact us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family | ||
Fun Facts | Laney grew up dancing and still has a passion for it! When music comes on, she can’t resist dancing or thinking up a routine in her head. Hunter learned to ride a unicycle as a child and still knows how!
What Matters Most to Us | The most important thing in our life is our faith. God is a part of our daily lives through prayer and reading the Bible. We also value spending a lot of time with our families. We believe in nurturing relationships close to our hearts.
Our Dog | We have a big, goofy, lovable Goldendoodle named Oliver. He loves to fetch a ball at the park and practice his training. Oliver is good with kids and we know he’ll be a sweet pet for our future children.
Thoughts on Parenting | We will be there for our child and make sure he or she knows they can always come to us. We believe in setting boundaries so that our child can learn and thrive as they grow and become more independent. We will teach them to listen and be respectful, kind, loving, and understanding to others. As parents, we will encourage our child to make the most of their education and to do their best at whatever they try. We will also make sure they have time to be a child and have fun! We believe a balanced life is important at any age.
