Patrick is a Hospital Administrator, and Kathryn works as a University Administrator. After they adopt, she plans to take the first six months off of work. They make getaway weekends to Disney World and are annual pass holders. “We are excited to see the parks through our child’s eyes!” say Patrick and Kathryn.
They live in sunny Florida in a fully remodeled one-story home with four bedrooms. There’s space for a nursery and playroom, and their large back yard has plenty of space for playtime. Patrick and Kathryn live within walking distance to the water, churches, playgrounds, and an elementary school. Their neighborhood is well-established, safe, and family-friendly.
“Kathryn will be an amazing mother! She’s dedicated to helping people meet their educational and personal goals, and I know she will do the same for your child. The thing I love most about my wife is her heart. She is a nurturing and compassionate soul who always sees the best in people. Her determination to succeed is inspiring, her faith is strong, and her capacity to love is endless,” says Patrick.
And Kathryn shares about her husband, “I know I can count on him to be there for everything, from late-night feedings to changing dirty diapers. He will be present with love, joy, and a grateful heart. He has a natural calmness about him and exudes a sense of peace and security. I am excited to look out the window and see him fulfilling his lifelong dream playing catch with a son or daughter (or both!)”

As the Vice President (VP) of Lifetime Adoption, Heather Featherston holds an MBA and is passionate about working with those facing adoption, pregnancy, and parenting issues. Heather has conducted training for birth parent advocates, spoken to professional groups, and has appeared on television and radio to discuss the multiple aspects of adoption. She has provided one-on-one support to women and hopeful adoptive parents working through adoption decisions.
Since 2002, she has been helping pregnant women and others in crisis to learn more about adoption. Heather also trains and speaks nationwide to pregnancy clinics to effectively meet the needs of women who want to explore adoption for their child. Today, she continues to address the concerns women have about adoption and supports the needs of women who choose adoption for their child.
As a published author of the book Called to Adoption, Featherston loves to see God’s hand at work every day as she helps children and families come together through adoption.
