A Letter from Jon & Shannon
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! Our journey through infertility has shown us that this opportunity to start our family through adoption is the biggest blessing of our lives. We are excited to shower your little one with love, laughter, and support. We enjoy family get-togethers, neighborhood parties, trips to the zoo, and family vacations. We look forward to including your child in all the fun, taking them to children’s museums, helping them find their passion, and showering them with hugs and kisses every morning and night. We look forward to keeping an open relationship with you and are excited to get to know you!
God brought us together nearly 7 years ago. Our relationship has been built on a foundation of faith, love, and humor. Every decision we have made as a couple, from our careers to how we balance our priorities, is made in prayer. We both have thriving careers that allow us a great deal of flexibility and the ability to work from home. Together we love to volunteer at our church and in our community. We also love to plan fun new things to do with our family and friends such as escape rooms, concerts, sporting events, vacations, etc. Including your little one in all of these adventures will be a dream come true.
Jon has a gigantic heart, a wonderful sense of humor and is passionate for the Lord, sports, charity and healthy living. He is a wonderful husband, a great provider, devoted son, brother, and friend. You can often find him singing his own hysterical lyrics to songs throughout the day. He is nurturing to all living things, excels at any sport, finds the coolest ways to give back and establishes trust with everyone. These qualities have made him successful in life and will also make him a fantastic father. He is in his home town’s sports hall of fame, has earned many honors at his job, and volunteers in many meaningful projects including his weekly reading service for the blind and First Tee. I know he will be an amazing father. He is excited to take our child fishing, golfing and on all sorts of adventures.
Shannon is the most thoughtful, fun, and nurturing person I know. She is smart, insightful, values a healthy lifestyle, and always strives to make things better for others. Her friends and family admire her for her faith, strength and how she shines her light. She can go from greeting at church on Sunday to beating me at mini-golf and turn around and cook us a healthy organic meal for dinner. Her great wit and sense of humor make it a joy to spend time with her. She’s small in stature but has a huge personality and an even bigger heart. She is excited to shower love and affection on our child and share her love of sports, healthy eating/cooking, and creative projects with them.
Our village is gigantic. It consists of our wonderfully supportive relatives and an extended family of friends, neighbors, and co-workers. They rally around us always and are beyond enthusiastic about our adoption. Our parents and siblings all live within an hour of us. We enjoy hosting Sunday dinner at our home so that we can have as much family time as possible! Family and friends are welcomed throughout the year to stay in our huge finished guest space. Our neighborhood and church families are filled with small children who are always playing with one another. Everyone is excited to cuddle our little one and include them in all of our traditions and activities.
We live in a beautiful new housing community in the suburbs of the city we love. We chose our house so that we would always have space to welcome and fit all of our family and friends comfortably. It is spacious and cozy at the same time with a huge finished basement for visitors and more area to play. We are excited to add a playset to our beautiful backyard. Our neighborhood and community are ideal to raise a family. Within minutes of our home, we have nature trails, parks, recreational areas, culture centers, museums, family, friends, and tons of opportunities for children to learn and grow.
We promise to love your child with all our hearts. They will grow up in a safe and stable home where they will always have our support to follow their dreams. We will provide every opportunity for them to understand the gifts God has given them and their purpose in this world. They will be given a strong foundation of faith, family, and fun. They will grow up knowing their story and where they will always know they are loved by us, by you, and by God. We look forward to getting to know you and are open to visits.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
Jon loves sports, music, being active, eating healthy and I like to call him, “the bird whisperer.” He is passionate about all he does whether it is taking care of the birds in our back yard, refining his golf game, remaining disciplined with his workouts or devoting his time to his many charitable activities. There is nothing more important to him than his family.
Shannon loves sports, music, being active, and eating healthy. Her absolute favorite pastime is to look for ways to help others or make others feel special. At any given moment you can find her planning trips, activities, special craft projects (books, photo blankets, etc.), gifts or recipes that are all specially designed just for a particular person or group. She is most happy when she is making someone feel special and loved.
We both value giving back to our community. Jon does a reading service for the blind every week and volunteers with The First Tee to help support youth around the sport of golf. Shannon has volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Food Bank, Red Cross among others over the years. Together we are in the Connections Ministry at their church and serve holiday dinners at a public housing high-rise in our city. We have also both volunteered at Night to Shine, a prom for individuals with special needs, the past four years. It is one of our favorite nights of the year. We are excited to include our child in all of our adventures and show them the joy that comes with helping others.
Our faith is the guiding force behind all we do. It is one of the main things that drew us to each other and it has guided our relationship and the decisions we make for our lives and our family each day. We have been blessed to find the most amazing church family that has given us various ways to share our love of Christ with others. We created a mission statement for our marriage before our wedding and it stated clearly that the goal of our union is to reflect the love of Christ back out into the world. We are excited to help our child shine their light along with us.
Our Musical Interest
Our musical tastes are all over the map. We love everything from classic rock to rap, from Frank Sinatra to county. Both of our car radio stations are always tuned into a Christian music station that we also sponsor. We find so many blessings from listening to Christian artists. In fact, we love it so much that we frequently go to see our favorite artists in concert. Music is inspirational and healing to both of us. Also, we LOVE watching The Voice!
About Our Home
Our home is both spacious and cozy. Our goal is for everyone to feel at home when they visit. We have a 5 bedroom 3 ½ bathroom house. The baby’s room is adorable, roomy and has a large walk-in closet that we can imagine them using as an additional little oasis. We have a very large finished basement that feels more like an apartment with a large play area, spare bedroom, full bathroom, and partial kitchen. It walks out into our beautiful back yard. We look forward to installing a playset soon. We will occasionally project movies onto the back of our house in the warmer months by our firepit.
We live in the state of Pennsylvania
We are within minutes of several parks, playgrounds and fun things to do. We also find ourselves close to a thriving city with so many fun things to do including cultural events, recreational activities and sporting events. We are always able to find new and exciting things to do and we look forward to including our child in these city events to broaden their horizons! They will have every opportunity to understand their passions and the purpose God has for them.
Our neighborhood is ideal for raising a family. All of our neighbors have small children who are always outside playing in our cul-de-sacs or on the sidewalks of our neighborhood. We even have two ice cream trucks that come through the neighborhood in the warmer months.
