Pregnant woman wonders about the possibility of adoption help in Pasco CountyAre you wondering…

“How does adoption work?”

“Is there an adoption agency in Pasco County?”

“Can I learn about adoption without making a commitment?”

“Can I still do adoption if I already have a case plan?”

We can help you!  We are a private adoption agency in Pasco County and would like to get to know more about you, your needs, and your dreams as you think about adoption for your baby or child.  Let’s start by answering those questions one by one.

How does adoption work?

With Lifetime, you make the choices. You can pick the adoptive parents, decide what type of contact you want after the adoption, share with us what help you need with pregnancy expenses, and even decide how things go at the hospital.  Your caring coordinator will walk with you every step of the way, available to you anytime by phone or text.

We can send you information or meet with you in person to start the basic paperwork and look at waiting families. You can talk to a family and get to know them before making your decision.  When your baby is born, the family will travel to your town and the baby will be discharged from the hospital directly to the adoptive parents you picked. A day or two later, you will meet with an attorney and sign the final papers. There is no cost to you at all.

If you have a child already, the process is similar, however you will meet with the family you have chosen along with your child. Your coordinator will help make a transition plan that you are comfortable with.

In addition to help with your expenses, you can get maternity clothes, counseling, toiletries, and more.  You can call and learn more without any pressure or obligation.

Is there adoption help in Pasco County?

Yes! Our adoption office is in New Port Richey, conveniently located right off of US-19.  You can come meet us or we can meet you for lunch or coffee.  If you prefer, we don’t have to meet at all but can send you information by mail or email.

We work all across Florida, and have safe adoptive families for you to choose from across the U.S.  You can choose a family from anywhere. All of them have had background checks, home inspections, and much more as part of the home study process.

Pregnant woman reads the book So I Was Thinking About Adoption

Can I learn about adoption without making a commitment?

Yes!  Most women want to learn about adoption privately before making the decision if it is the right choice for them.  We can answer your questions and give you information about adoption, including a book called So I Was Thinking About Adoption.

You can even look at waiting families before you make the decision if adoption is right for you and your child. We also have peer counselors, women who have been where you are, that can be a good help to speak with or email.

Can I still do adoption if I already have a case plan?

Yes! In Florida that is called an intervention.  This means that you have chosen a family and want to place your child with them, even if you already have a case plan and case worker. Lifetime Adoption can help you create an intervention for your child. We will need to speak with your case worker.

The benefits of an intervention are that you can choose the family for your child and have future contact with updates so you know how your child is doing.

You aren’t alone!  Lifetime can provide private, confidential help with no obligation. Our caring coordinators can meet with you here and explain how adoption works.  They can also explain anytime by phone or text, 24 hours a day at 1-800-923-6784.
